Dr. Riveland earned his doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati. He became a physician partner at Thunderbird Internal Medicine in 1987. During his time running this growing, multi-specialty practice, he held numerous leadership positions including:

Before establishing MedExec Innovations, Brian Riveland, MD created and led the clinical, financial, operational and strategic functions of one of the Valley’s premier independent medical practices: Thunderbird Internal Medicine. He also championed the merging of practices and cultural alignment activities with the formation of a new multi-specialty group, assisting with developing the governance and leadership structure, contracting strategy, recruitment and communications.
